Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Several of these images are within Areas Of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs), a special planning status that's nearly equal with a national park. Although these form the backbone of England's countryside tourism, their borders are complex and difficult to determine. Recent research has allowed me to accurately caption every AONB image in my database — over a thousand images.
